About Us

About Us Blog

Millions of things are happening that we can see that’s what’s so fascinating. We’ve always wanted to know how things operated, why did the television channel change when you pushed a button on the remote control?

We didn’t mean to drive our parents crazy but we wanted to know what was going on inside of it, what was happening and why did it work. We were about 5 years old when this passion struck us. We kept taking apart the television remote controls and household appliances. Our Mom and Dad tried to develop a sense of humor about it.

The upside was we’d always win first place at the science fair through our graduation from Bonanza High School in Las Vegas. We went off to DeVry University in Pomona, CA where Phil earned his degree in electrical engineering and Justin received his bachelors in business.

That passion is still strong and led us to start repairing computers in our two-bedroom bachelor apartment in 2007. On March 4th 2008, we opened the Doctors of Technology and things started growing fast.

Computers are like cars, they get you from Point A to Point B quickly and easily. Like an automobile, a number of different things are working hard to get you where you want to go.

There is a real architecture to computer chips, millions of electronic signals pass through them at the speed of light – running your printer, your mouse, the keyboard and your monitor. There are communications systems and electronic controls, processors and programs that never fail to fascinate us. It’s not a virtual environment, but a real one where heat, dust and user error can cause you unique and stressful problems.

When you turn on your computer you want it to work so you can go some place, just like when you start your car.

If you don’t change the oil in your car and have tune ups done periodically, you’ll have problems with your automobile. Computers are the same exact way.

Don’t wait until your PC is belching blue smoke to have it maintained. We’ve found out how to avoid those problems and can show you how to get the most of out of your machine.

It’s our passion.

Twin brothers Phillip and Justin Hoffman own the Doctors of Technology at 2560 E. Sunset Road, Suite 111, Las Vegas, NV 89120. You can email them at justin@doctorsoftechnology.com. The 26-year-old brothers have called Las Vegas their home for 13 years. They never miss a Phillies game on TV provided someone hasn’t taken the remote control apart again.
